Preferred type of oily waste: Oil content 10%~40%, Water content below 20% (if the oil or water content exceeds the upper limit, additional pretreatment equipment is required). This is typically suitable for small to medium batches of oily sludge, oil based cuttings, etc.
The core technology is that oil-based drill cuttings are heated to a certain temperature under slight vacuum and oxygen-free conditions. Inert gas or
water vapor produced by itself is used as the carrying gas to carry out oil vapor and gasses from the TDU. Then, the fumes go through the high temperature
ceramic filter in which dusts are removed and stepwise condensation and recovery. A small amount of non condensed gas is treated by
alkali washing and activated carbon adsorption to meet the emission standards.
1. The solid residue contains almost no oil or water. After identification, it can be used as brick-making material, building material filler or the covering
layer of general solid waste landfill. Eventually, the goals of reduction, harmlessness and resource utilization are achieved.
2. Replacing gas heating with efficient electromagnetic heating not only reduces the emissions of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides but also
eliminates the safety risks posed by open flame gas at the well site. Additionally, as skid-mounted and portable TDU, it saves on the costs of gas
pipelines and gas facilities, thereby reducing investment. And recover very valuable base oil of drilling fluids.
3. The TDU is controlled by PLC. The temperature, pressure and oxygen content inside the kiln are all monitored online. The temperature is controlled
in sections through electromagnetic coils, and the pressure is controlled by multiple means, and the oxygen content is limited to less than 5%.
4. By adjusting the process and precisely controlling the temperature according to the different properties of the wastes, it can comprehensively handle
drilling cuttings, oil-based mud, tank cleaning sludge, from refining and chemical industries.
5. The treatment effect is excellent. The treatment is carried out by using highly efficient electromagnetic heating, with the temperature precisely
controllable within the range of 0 – 650℃. The oil content in the residue can be reduced to less than 0.3%, and oil and gas can be recovered with rate
of up to 95% in total. By using electromagnetic temperature control technology, the cracking of oil is prevented so that the oil can directly be reused
into drilling fluids. At the same time, the microwave + ceramic dust removal technology is adopted to purify the fume. The medium-temperature thermal
desorption process is adopted to avoid the emission of harmful gases and CO2 that would be produced by high-temperature pyrolysis process.
